This is us - the long version
Who 'am I? What do I want? What do I strive for? Who are my friends? What do I care about? What do I do? What don't I do?
Questions like these are part of who we are and the answers are unique to all of us. Answers are not always easy to come by but they inevitably define how the world sees us, determines who we are and shapes who we will become.
We express ourselves in many ways, with how we move, with whom we move, how we talk, with whom we talk, what we say, what we don't say and what we won't say. What we wear and how we wear it is a big part of this communication.
Speaking with each other is another, more important part of communication. It is the glue that binds us together. We all know that not communicating, or worse, miscommunicating with each other will likely not lead to a positive outcome.
This is how UNRSLVD was born.
Building a streetwear brand has been a dream of ours for a long time. We were inspired by a variety of labels, many new, especially brands that had something to say, brands with a story, reflecting a culture or a lifestyle, where you sensed that the founders had their heart in the right place and where their passion and genuineness was apparent.
What we were about to create had to reflect our beliefs, our passion and vision. It had to be current and relevant, it had to reflect society and 'street' culture and it had to be ever evolving.
Standing still is not an option.
Out of the need to address the many problems our world is consumed by, we realized that the only way we could make a difference is to somehow engage people in reflection and dialogue and recognizing that the only way we will ever find solutions to issues is by talking with each other.
We made it our mission to engage people, to encourage people to talk with each other and to address what needs addressing.
To do this, we use prompts or triggers, for contemplation and conversation. We will bring light to issues worth noting and discussing, we are in fact providing an 'impetus for dialogue'.We use epigrams which are direct and sometimes not so direct, very often open to interpretation, inviting different takes, different opinion and revelations.
Our logo and name in and of itself can be taken as a prompt.
What is UNRSLVD in your life? What concerns you today, how can I make a difference?
Aesthetically we reflect a clean look, identifiable with a graphic language all it's own. Clean, precise and concise. It reflects an attitude of confidence, assuredness and conviction. We are not shy about creating controversy or backing a cause we find important and we are certainly not here to please everyone.
We approach what we do with an attitude of doing what we love, what we find worthwhile and most of all we want to make a difference. We hope you like what we do and hope you will become part of this vision.
